Clearly Understand What the Client Wants . Because progress in an assignment or project is hard to touch or feel, we at P.K.W. believe in clear, two-way communication. We begin by meeting with you to learn precisely what you want to do. Your ideas, needs and expectations are important to us. We work with you and your staff to develop a complete picture of your needs. We commit all conclusions to writing. We want to be sure everyone understands and agrees with everything you want done before we start work.

Talk to the Right People. P.K.W. involves the entire team -- you, our client, and the P.K.W. professionals who will support you. We want a strong working relationship. We want you to be comfortable with us. And we want everyone to be proud of their work. We encourage everyone to fully participate in an assignment's success.

Keep things Simple. Small jobs are easier than big ones. So, P.K.W. breaks big jobs down into small, manageable “tasks”. We want to be sure everything is done right the first time! The best way to be sure of that is for everyone to clearly see what is being accomplished. We make sure each task produces something you can see -- a tangible result.

Estimate the Time and Costs. We at P.K.W. know detailed time and cost estimates are essential to doing the job right. We estimate the time and cost of each task separately to give everyone a clear picture of what it should cost and how long it should take. We take deadlines seriously and let you know ahead of time if there’s a problem. There’s nothing worse, in our view, than being “on schedule” until the day before installation.

Make haste slowly. Let’s face it. Change can be scary. But in small, understandable pieces, change can be exciting! To be sure everyone understands what’s going to happen, P.K.W. sets-up formal procedures for managing change before anything is changed. You are part of the change process. We want to be sure you’re comfortable that the “change procedures” will work for you and your organization.

Continually Review and Evaluate Progress. We know in advance what you, our client, considers acceptable. To be sure everyone understands, we obtain written acceptances as each task is completed. That way, acceptance occurs gradually, in easily managed pieces and not as one large “happening” at the end of the project. No surprises just results!
